Hereditary diseases

Description
Non-progressive autosomal recessively inherited disease of the nervous system associated with periodic attacks of stupor (muscle hypertonia, medical: paroxysmal dystonia or dyskinesia) of the front and hind limbs during periods of physical exertion, under stress or excitement leading to a sudden fall. It begins to manifest itself from the age of 12-14 weeks, as a rule, in sick dogs, clinical symptoms develop by the age of 4 years and can have varying degrees of severity and frequency of manifestation. The manifestation of the syndrome, as a rule, does not pose a threat to the dog's life.

The absence of disease progression throughout life allows the use of therapeutic approaches to compensate for the manifestation of the disease.
