Description

Lysosomal storage disease is a hereditary disease caused by a malfunction of the intracellular organelles of lysosomes, as a result of which the accumulation of glycogen, glycosaminoglycans, glycoproteins and other substances occurs. With this condition, gait becomes wobbly and uncoordinated, and other symptoms can also be observed: involuntary eye movements (nystagmus) and behavioral changes. The age of onset of symptoms is 4 months to 4 years. The disease progresses over time.
