Description
The disease is characterized by a malfunction of the pituitary gland, and a decrease in the level of pituitary hormones (growth hormone, thyrotropin, prolactin and gonadotropins), which leads to an abnormal short stature of the animal.

Symptoms
Affected puppies appear normal at birth, but growth retardation can be observed from 2-3 months. Symptoms: small growth compared to littermates, delayed coat growth, hair loss, darkening of the skin, delayed eruption or lack of permanent teeth, small testicles, sometimes infertility.
