Description
Shar Pei Autoinflammatory Disease (SPAID), characterized by typical signs of inflammation such as recurrent fever, ear inflammation, arthritis, eye inflammation and recurrent intestinal inflammation, and skin redness. Affected dogs can also develop amyloidosis, with severe damage to various organs such as the kidneys, liver, pancreas, heart and intestinal submucosa.

The first symptoms appear at the age of 1-6 years, the average age of onset of the disease is 2.5 years. Histopathological examination reveals the accumulation of amyloid in the salivary glands, liver, pancreas, kidneys and other organs.
