Description
Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA) is the general name for a group of diseases of the retina that cause damage to photoreceptor cells (rods and cones) until their death.

A late-onset (average age of first clinical symptoms is 5.6 years) genetically inherited form of PRA has been described in papillons and phalens.
